Welcome to the home of the Lehigh Wall Street Council

The LWSC was born out of a very simple but compelling fact that has been evident to many alumni for decades: The Lehigh presence in the financial services industry is incredibly strong, visible and vibrant. In the fall of 2002, a group of committed Lehigh alumni, staff members and faculty got together with the mission of turning this presence into a community that would provide business and career opportunities to Lehigh alums in the financial sector. In addition, we set out to build channels that would educate and assist Lehigh students in their efforts to find career and internship opportunities in the financial world.

With the passion and dedication of the executive committee, the Lehigh Alumni Association, and the College of Business faculty we’ve made great progress over the last decade in reaching our goals. We’ve had an overwhelming response from the alumni community in terms of volunteering their time and attending our events and we now boast a continually evolving membership base over 1,300 strong. Moreover, we’ve established a robust calendar of events that includes on-campus seminars, as well as events in New York City that can boast the involvement of such distinguished Lehigh Alumni as Joe Perella, Bob Doll and Barry Rosenstein just to name a few. It’s been nothing short of exhilarating for me and the Executive committee to watch the growth of the Wall Street Council into an organization where alumni are excited to get involved, to attend our events, to network with their peers, and especially to help students get their start in the financial sector.

While we’re heartened by our success thus far, much work remains if we’re to fulfill our mission in creating an enduring affinity group that provides support and opportunities for alumni, faculty and students alike. We’re continually working to expand the types of events we offer, to reach out to every corner of the ever-changing world of Finance, and to duplicate our efforts in other regions outside of the New York City area. If you’re a Lehigh alumnus who works in financial services or a related field, I encourage you to take advantage of the many ways you can get involved with out efforts. Whether it’s attending one of our events, coming back to speak on campus, or volunteering to provide assistance to students, there are many fulfilling ways to get involved. I can confidently say that you’ll find your efforts will provide you with a forum that can bolster your business contacts, enhance your career prospects, and renew and strengthen your ties to Lehigh. Use this website to add your name to our mailing list and we will keep you informed about our events and activities.

I hope to see you soon at a LWSC event.
