Created through a partnership between Lee A. Iacocca and Lehigh University, the Global Village for Future Leaders of Business and Industry© program is a five-week summer experience for more than 100 select international young professionals and advanced students. The program provides applied leadership and cross-cultural skills, entrepreneurial skills, career path mapping, global networking, and cultural understanding. This intensive program spans interactive courses, multi-cultural team projects, business and organizational visits, executive round table discussions, themed panel and seminar sessions, and visits to centers of business including New York and Washington, D.C. Since its inception in 1997, 1,554 young leaders from 128 countries and territories internationally have become a part of the Global Village worldwide Lehigh University alumni network.

A 5K (3.1 Mile) event with the sole purpose of helping people to smile. Event is not competitive and not timed. All types of participants are welcome from parents pushing strollers, or power walkers, to veteran racers. A portion of the payment collected with go directly to financial aid and scholarship at Lehigh University in addition to a fund for the Southside Initiative. Commencement Ceremony
Goodman Stadium
The Class of 1963 is invited to stay and participate in the Commencement festivities as the special guests of their adopted class, the Class of 2013. They will be dressed in academic regalia and lead the Commencement Procession, and officially "ring" the Class of 2013 into the alumni community. Bill Nye, executive director of The Planetary Society, but probably best known as Bill Nye the Science Guy, will deliver the address at Lehigh’s 145th commencement ceremony. Nye replaces the previously announced speaker, astrophysicist and author Neil deGrasse Tyson, who is unable to deliver the address.
