Class of 1965 Reunion Letter

Dear Class of 1965:

Our class reunions have always been a time of celebration, and we anticipate that our 45th reunion will continue the tradition.  Reunion is a prime opportunity to get together with friends, get reacquainted with classmates, reminisce about our Lehigh days and get caught up on all that is new in our lives.

There are many new facilities and programs on campus to learn about, and the reunion program features some great activities to help you get reacquainted with campus.  The brochure gives details on all the events for the weekend.  ReunionFest is the place to be on Friday evening—a wonderful campus venue, fine food, and great music!

Our class reunion planning committee has been organizing our events, which are in addition to the many activities offered throughout the weekend and open to all classes. In addition to ReunionFest on Friday evening and the all-classes luncheon on Saturday, we'll get together Saturday evening for our informal buffet style class dinner at Iaccoca Hall Wood Dining Room.  Our classmate Ron Workman will be honored with the prestigious Alumni Award.   Let's congratulate Ron on his award.

Our parade theme will be "Our Four Years — A World of Change" and we are planning to add some excitement; like a '65 Corvette leading the procession; and a rendition of "Where Have Our Four Years Gone?" sung to the tune of "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" To add some respected uniformity we are including Lehigh hats in our class assessment, and are asking you to wear a white golf shirt with khaki pants. We will have available for purchase a nice white golf shirt with all the appropriate Lehigh logos. All indications are that our attendance will be outstanding, and we are counting on you to join us! Our attendance goal is 100.

In addition to the many festivities throughout the weekend, Rick Penske is working on securing 60 tickets to see The Jersey Boys in NYC on Sunday, May 23 at 3 p.m. A bus will be scheduled to pick up those attending the show at the Alumni Memorial building. Please stay tuned for more details.

Make a commitment now to come back for our 45th!  It's easy to make a reservation. You may complete your reservation and pay online at reunion.lehigh.edu.  On your class page, you'll also be able to see who is coming.  Or, complete the enclosed reservation form, enclose your payment and return to reunion headquarters.

We're looking forward to seeing you at the "Linked by Tradition" Reunion 2010.

Best regards,

Rein Mannik
